7 How Great Thou Art *Opening Hymn Hymnal #77 Used By Permission.
CCLI License #

8  O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds thy hands have made; I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, thy power throughout the universe displayed.

9  Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art. Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee, How great thou art, how great thou art!

10 When through the woods, and forest glades I wander, And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur and hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

11  Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art. Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee, How great thou art, how great thou art!

12 And when I think, that God, his Son not sparing; sent him to die, I scarce can take it in; that on the cross, my burden gladly bearing, he bled and died to take away my sin.

13  Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art. Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee, How great thou art, how great thou art!

14 When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation, and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart. Then I shall bow, in humble adoration, and then proclaim: "My God, how great thou art!"

15  Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art. Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to thee, How great thou art, how great thou art!

16 *Opening Prayer Psalm #103, Hymnal Bless the Lord, O my Soul! And all that is within me, bless God’s holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all God’s benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

17 who satisfies you with good as long as you live so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
The Lord, who works vindication and justice for all who are oppressed, has made known God’s ways to Moses, God’s acts to the people of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

18 The Lord will not always chide, nor harbor anger for ever
The Lord will not always chide, nor harbor anger for ever. The Lord does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is the Lord’s steadfast love toward the faithful; as far as the east is from the west, so far does the Lord remove our transgressions from us. As a father shows compassion to his children,

19 so the Lord shows compassion to the faithful
so the Lord shows compassion to the faithful. For the Lord knows our frame, and remembers that we are dust. As for mortals, their days are like grass; they flourish like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting

20 upon the faithful, and the righteousness of the Lord to children’s children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.

23 Offertory Scripture I Chronicles 29: 10-16
10 Then David blessed the Lord in the presence of all the assembly; David said: “Blessed are you, O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, forever and ever. 11 Yours, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. 12 Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might; and it is in

24 your hand to make great and to give strength to all
your hand to make great and to give strength to all. 13 And now, our God, we give thanks to you and praise your glorious name. 14 “But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. 15 For we are aliens and transients before you, as were all our ancestors; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope. 16 O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own.

35 Scripture Reading Genesis 3: 8-9; 21:17-20 8 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”

36 17 And God heard the voice of the boy; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, and said to her, “What troubles you, Hagar? Do not be afraid; for God has heard the voice of the boy where he is. 18 Come, lift up the boy and hold him fast with your hand, for I will make a great nation of him.”

37 19 Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water
19 Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. She went, and filled the skin with water, and gave the boy a drink. 20 God was with the boy, and he grew up; he lived in the wilderness, and became an expert with the bow.
