2. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood.

3. And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood.

4. And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

He looks at both roads and sees that they both look the same, except one looks a little better because it looks like not too many people have walked on it.

Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.
He picks one road to go on. He goes down that road and comes to another fork in the road, then another, and another, and so forth. He goes so far that he realizes he can’t go back to the first road he picked.
