2 1946 One of the locations of the Powell Hotel, the first black-owned hotel in Dallas. During segregation, hotels that served African Americans were often located in houses in residential areas.

14 1947 Inside William Madison McDonald's Fraternal Bank and Trust on the first floor of the Fort Worth Masonic Temple, located at 9th and Jones in Fort Worth. Fraternal Bank and Trust was an African-American owned private bank that survived the Great Depression.
