Goal: determine whether people tend to extend evidence of quality from one dimension of people/items to other dimensions (“Halo Effect”) Experimental Set-Up Two Dimensions (Appearance and Essay Quality) Appearance (Picture attached to essay): Attractive, Unattractive, Control (No Picture) Essay Quality: Good, Poor Response: Score assigned to Essay 10 Replicates per treatment combination
