Figure 1 Proposed Complexes Involved in the Control of mTORC1 by Amino Acids (A) The Ragulator complex on the lysosomal surface interacts with Rag GTPases and, in response to amino acids, recruits mTORC1, which can interact with its activator, Rheb.GTP (see Sancak et al., 2010). (B) Duran et al. (2011) now report a distinct complex between p62 and the Rag GTPases that also recruits mTORC1 to the lysosomal surface and promotes formation of active RagB.GTP in response to amino acids.
