Phase 1 : Validate what exists with x by comparing SP with full sim:
single electrons of various energies ( 10, 50, 100, 200 GeV ?) at various
rapidities: e.g.  = 0.4, 1.1, 2.1, 2.7, ?
then Z  ee
single pions (similar energies, similar rapidities)
then di-jets and minimum-bias ?
Note: these samples should
be added to Sample A
of CSC production
Find and fix problems (if any …)
Improve what needs to be improved (may be -dependent)
Define details (e.g. geometrical boundaries)
Determine CPU gain
Time scale to complete Phase 1 : next Trigger & Physics week (30/10-3/11) ?

2. Phase 2 : Understand exact scope of SP (together with Physics and Trigger groups)
Understand what physics channels and what part of trigger simulation would benefit
from SP (as opposed to ATLFAST or full sim.)  define a strategy for MC production
for data taking

I have created a mailing list :
(for the moment I am the owner); all interested people can subscribe
Propose to have bi-weekly phone meetings at fixed slots (e.g. Tuesday at 4p.m. ?)
For the moment dedicated meetings, later on may join the Physics Validation meetings
We need a volunteer to organize these meetings/activity
I will contact detector (calorimeter) experts and ask them to join
