5 Use A Character to Promote Health
The President’s Task Force Report on Childhood Obesity recommends using children’s characters to promote healthy options, rather than attracting children to unhealthy food and beverages. The President’s Task Force Report was developed by a large panel of experts who recommended that children’s characters should be used to promote only healthy foods and beverages.

6 Message Creation Used major themes from I Am Moving, I Am Learning to develop three key messages Used Choosy as the “Spokesperson” for messages Worked with marketing frim (Bulldog Creations) to develop all marketing materials Hired external evaluator to measure impact through community surveys Worked with local Community Advisory Committees to disseminate messages throughout the three project counties
