2 Summary of key findings: Ministry for Education and Employment
Appetite for change and moving forward: evidence of best practice of inclusion consider blind learner on undertaking a creative course over 5 years and benefiting from a supportive network of educator, coordinator and peers Training and professional development: CPD in inclusive practices, understanding disability, supporting adult learners, sharing pedagogy Communication, positive and structured dialogue: creating comfortable and open language targeting inclusion and disclosure for staff and learners to use Develop adult educational support networks: to signpost learners for external support; utilise educators with experience of inclusive supporting Develop quantitative data collection: record learners with educational support needs; utilise existing computer network to analyse/categorise data Measure impact of inclusion in practice: evaluate and monitor how inclusive practices impact on classroom dynamics

3 Address needs at Centre level: Directorate for Research, Lifelong Learning and Innovation  
Health & Safety: Malta fire service may provide building H&S training to coordinators First Aid: Malta ambulance/paramedics teams adapt babies and children first aid training to suit adults Inclusion and SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulty): Head of Inclusion at University of Malta could approve adapted lecture slides on general principals and adult support to lifelong learning context Disability: Rhoda Garland at CRPD could provide general adult support strategies / support networks Agenzija Support: transport services Mentoring: Marcelle Burge at FSM has trained mentors who could provide guidelines to educators in ways to mentor migrant learners experiencing challenges Initial assessment records: staff / department collaboration to establish a standardised form of recording and monitoring adult learners with educational support needs
