2 Who’s Charles Dickens?

3 Much loved for his great contribution to classic English literature.
He was a Victorian author based in the 1800s. His writings are considered epic stories with vivid characters and exhaustive depiction of contemporary life.

4 Timeline - His father was a naval clerk who dreamed to be rich.
was born in Portsmouth, England. - His father was a naval clerk who dreamed to be rich. - His mother wanted to become a teacher and a school director. Dickens and his family moved to Kent, England.

5 - 1822 the Dickens family moved to a poor neighborhood called Camden Town in London.
Charles’ father was sent to preson for debt. - Charles was forced to leave school and to start working at a boot- blacking factory. he drop out of school again to support his family. he began to send sketches to various magazines and newspapers. his first book sketches by Buzz is published.

6 - Dickens had 10 children with Catherine Hogarth.
he got divorced. - His first novel was Oliver Twist. The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby The Old Curiosity Shop Barnaby Rudge A Christmas Carol David Copperfield -1859 A Tale of Two Cities Great Espectations is released. he had a stroke and died in Kent, England
