Code of Conduct Presentation

2 Acceptable Use Agreement
All students and staff are expected to abide by the District’s Acceptable Use Agreement (see BSD Code of Conduct). Violations such as the one’s listed below may result in the loss of privilege to use District devices, Internet and/or network. Breaking or attempting to alter passcodes Unrestricting the device or changing settings of any kind Accessing or storing inappropriate images or content on the device Downloading apps without permission

3 Acceptable Use Agreement
All students and staff are expected to abide by the District’s Acceptable Use Agreement (see BSD Code of Conduct). Violations such as the one’s listed below may result in the loss of privilege to use District devices, Internet and/or network. Gaining access to other students’ accounts, files, and/or data Using personal Apple IDs to download unauthorized apps Using the device for personal reasons, such as taking photos, videos, or posting to non-educational sites.

4 Proper Care of Devices Do not remove protective cover or any of the affixed labels or stickers Keep food and beverages away from devices Do not leave the device checked out to you unattended or loan it to another individual. YOU are responsible for the device assigned to you. Always secure your device after you are done working to protect your work and information. Sign off of sites and programs at the end of every class period.

5 Device Security Theft of a device is a crime and will be treated as such. Devices have GPS geo-tracking capabilities – even when turned off Geo tracking able to pinpoint homes, buildings, open areas, cars, buses, etc. Able to track device even if restored to factory settings Audible alarm will be turned on when a device is reported missing District able to “brick” device rendering it useless and ensures user is unable to turn off GPS

6 Don’t Lose the Privilege
The Code of Conduct also clearly points out that the use of Technology in the Brandywine School District is a privilege – not a right. Unacceptable use or vandalism by students will result in disciplinary action and limitation/cancellation of user privileges appropriate to the offense.   If damage occurs due to willful misconduct, the user may be permanently restricted from the use of technology and charged for the cost of repair or replacement for such damage.
