1. Promoting Health Literacy Friendly Places Friday 29th June 2018 Event Summary
This was the 5th annual Stoke-on-Trent Health Literacy event
Approximately 50 people attended from a range health and wellbeing
Organisations included Midlands Partnership Trust, Staffordshire Housing, UHNM, VAST, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Keele University, North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCG, Healthwatch
We used #healthliteracyfriendly to promote the event on Twitter

2. Welcome and the National Picture
Joanne Protheroe, Chair of Health Literacy UK and Mike Oliver, Senior Health Improvement Specialist, Stoke-on-Trent City Council opened the event.
Jonathan Berry, Personalisation and Control Specialist from NHS England explained the national picture, what do we mean by health literacy friendly places and why is it important.

Exploring policies to promote Health Literacy Friendly Places What does effective policy look like to support Health Literacy Friendly Places? How can this policy be implemented in practice?
