9 Roving Reporter Example
Reporter’s Name: Mrs. Benson # 32 Dates Reporting: August Monday, August 16 was first day of school, and we’re off to a great year! I greeted the students with a cheerful hello, while music played in the background. The students came in with big smiles and bit of apprehension. They found their seats and got a quick tour of their classroom. Once that was done, we began the long process of putting supplies away, the kids wrote their names on their textbooks. After that we watched a movie on BrainPop called Back to School.. Wow, what a busy day! On Tuesday we started the morning off with another getting to know you activity. We talked about all of the exciting projects we would be learning in social studies, science, math and reading. When we talked about writing the faces of the students changed. I reassured them, that we would be having lots of fun with writing this year. On Wednesday, we read “The Pumpkin Story” what a great story! It was exciting to hear what would happen next to our characters in the story. We finally had our equipment assembly and are now able play on the equipment at recess. The kids are starting to open up a bit and seem more comfortable. They are caring and kind to one another. I know this Is going to be a fabulous year. Today is Thursday and our story continues, we were assigned to do our own pumpkin box. it was fun choosing items for our pumpkin box! We also finished up our “I Am Poems.” Many students who have written these poems in past years treasure them for years to come. It was interesting reading my student’s poems, I learned a lot about each of them. Can you believe it is Friday already? During this week students have learned new routines, rules, and skills. Wow! This is truly going to be a fantastic memorable year! “Fifth grade was my favorite year in school, and is the main reason I became a fifth grade teacher. Boys and girls you will learn so much this year and remember to, “Always, do your best!”
