2. 5TH GRADE BAND Class will meet on Thursdays from 12:30-1:00.
Each student will also have a 15-minute lesson time to work in a small group with others who are playing the same instrument.

8. HOW TO GET A BAND INSTRUMENT
Rent an instrument from Northern Music Service in Marshfield. All rental fees apply towards purchasing an instrument. (2 year rental plan with payments every month)
Obtain a used instrument from newspaper ads, friends, or family. Make sure to have a used instrument checked at a music store for any necessary repairs.
School loan instruments—French Horns and Drums only. Drummers must purchase drumsticks and are encouraged to buy a drum pad for home. practice.

9. OTHER EXPENSES FOR BAND
LESSON BOOKS--$9.99 for flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, and trombone; $10.99 for French Horn; $16.99 for drums.
DRUMSTICKS--$10.00

10. 5th GRADE BAND CLASS DATES
SEPT. 21—students will have instrument demonstrations.
SEPT. 28—more instrument demonstrations
OCT. 5—students will get to test on their 3 choices of instruments.
OCT. 10—more instrument testing.
OCT. 16—Parent meeting with Northern Music Service at 7:00PM in the High School Band room.
OCT. 19—First day with instruments. Rental instruments will be delivered to the school. All students in 5th grade band should have their instruments for class.

11. DEADLINES OCT. 5—all permission slips to join band must be turned in.
OCT. 16—Parent meeting with Northern Music service, 7:00PM in the High School Band room. Rental program will be presented.
OCT. 19—first day with instruments.
