1 Math Humor Q: What do you have to know to get top grades in Geometry?
A: All the angles!

2 LT 2.6: Geometric Proof

3 When writing a proof, it is important to justify each logical step with a reason. You can use symbols and abbreviations, but they must be clear enough so that anyone who reads your proof will understand them. Definitions Postulates Properties Theorems Hypothesis (given statement) Conclusion Prove: statement

4 Two-column proof Theorem
A geometric proof begins with Given and Prove statements, which restate the hypothesis and conclusion of the conjecture. Two-column proof A style of proof in which the statements are written in the left-hand column and the reasons are written in the right column. Theorem A statement that has been proven.

5 Explain how you can solve this. Make sure to state your reasons why.

7 Complementary Angles: Two angles whose measures have a sum of 90⁰
Supplementary Angles: Two angles whose measures have a sum of 180⁰.
