2 Rules for Producing Questions
Ask as many questions as you can Do not stop to discuss, judge or answer the questions Write down every question exactly as it is stated Change any statement into a question What might be difficult about following these rules?

Question Focus: Follow the Rules for Producing Questions. Number your questions.

4 Improve Your Questions
You might have these three kinds of questions which reflect levels of thinking: Level one questions – gathering information- identifying and recalling information (understanding and remembering) Level two questions – processing information- making sense out of information; processing the information gathered by making connections and creating relationships (analyzing and applying) Level three questions – applying information- applying and evaluating actions, solutions and connections made in order to predict (creating and evaluating)

Identify the three levels of questions: Mark level one ?’s- 1, mark level two ?’s-2, and mark level three ?’s-3 Name advantages of asking level one questions… Name disadvantages of asking level one questions… Name advantages of asking level two questions… Name disadvantages of asking level two questions… Name advantages of asking level three questions… Name disadvantages of asking level three questions…

6 Improve Your Questions
Review your list of questions and change one level one question into a level two question. Then, change one level two question to a level three question

7 Prioritize Your Questions
Choose the three most important questions from your list. Keep in mind the Question Focus. Mark each priority question with an “X”
