Gleb Yushin School of Materials Science and Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology We vary the microstructure of metal oxides and characterize their structural and chemical properties We produce and test supercapacitor devices and reveal structure-property relationships for the metal oxide nanoparticles and nanostructured films We tune synthesis conditions to uniformly deposit metal oxide nanoparticles or thin films on the surface of porous carbon electrodes
