1 Key points about Worldviews

2

3 Was the world created, did it just pop into being, is it ordered, is it chaos, does it even exist or is something we create in our mind? Is there a God? Multiple gods? How do we know?

4 How do we decide how to live our lives?
What is the point of life? Is there a bigger picture? Is there such a thing as absolute truth? If so, how do we find it?

5 Everyone believes there’s something wrong with the world
Everyone believes there’s something wrong with the world. Even the most laid-back, hippie flower child you’ll ever meet thinks the problem with the world is that people are too uptight about their problems. All of us instinctively recognize something is rotten in Denmark. What is it? Is there evil? Is there right and wrong? How do I know? How do I decide what it is? What do I do about it? Can anything be done?

7 Is it heaven with God, or hell, a higher state, reincarnation, or do we cease to exist altogether?
If a person believes there is no after life, why is there any reason to refuse oneself anything in this life. Of if a person believes that they will get 72 virgins if they die as a martyr, why not go for it?

8 Does your worldview line up?
We can determine how well our worldview lines up with the reality it attempts to describe by three simple test questions. 1.  Do I have evidence for my beliefs? Do they match what we see in reality? 2.  Do my beliefs make sense? Are its teachings self- contradictory? 3.  Can I live according to how I believe? If you don’t actually live what you believe, then perhaps you don’t really believe that…..
