His choice was based on outward appearances. Genesis 13:10-12 However outward appearances are misleading, and decisions should NOT be based on them.

Decisions should be based on knowledge of God’s will. James 4:13-16 God’s Word is the perfect guide. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

All of this began when He pitched His tent toward Sodom. All these things happened to a righteous man – 2 Peter 2:7-8 Men reap what they sow.

When Lot pitched his tent toward Sodom he sowed seed which would reap bitterness. Abraham’s son was willing to be sacrificed. Lot’s children mocked. What was the difference?
