2 Introduction Diversity management is the process that unleashes various capabilities and talents. In the age of multiculturalism, it is necessary to effectively manage diversity. Teachers who work with multicultural students should be open to them and do their best to get as much as possible information about the life of students inside and outside of class. Since students are from two ethnic groups, they have their own culture, beliefs, norms, and values that affect their actions and behavior. 2 Diversity Management Action Plan

3 The Goal of the Plan The goal of the action plan is to enhance social integration and effective collaboration between various ethnic groups to eliminate discrimination and social prejudices. The plan will guide all diversity plans to manage the issue of multiculturalism. The implementation of this action plan relies on the voluntary choices of teachers, students, and their parents. For the action plan, I have chosen to focus on this issue and area of anti-bias education to develop ways to build stronger communication with teachers and parents and families of students of color. 3 Diversity Management Action Plan

4 Components of the Action Plan
My goal plan will consist of three components. 1) Create a team of people that teachers can go to when they feel they are not successful in communicating with a specific family. 2) Send out a survey to both parents and teachers where they will be allowed to disclose their feelings and thoughts on this issue. 3) Encourage teachers and parents to put effort into making this issue change. 4 Diversity Management Action Plan

5 Areas that Need Improvement
The areas that need to be improved are as follows: - the staff has to work better together across gender, language and cultural diversity; - the school should support learners with special needs or problems; - students need to study and play together across cultural lines; - ethnical diversity among educators as well as among learners will reflect the diversity in the community; - parents involved in the school have to reflect the whole population of the community. 5 Diversity Management Action Plan

6 Conclusions One of the best ways to manage diversity in schools is to be knowledgeable, open, and eager to discuss cultural differences with students and their parents. Diversity management plan should be daily integrated in formal and informal activities inside and outside classes. The main thing teachers should take into account is that each student is unique and no one should feel excluded from the class only because of cultural, ethnic, or race differences. 6 Diversity Management Action Plan
