6 FOR ALL GRADES, ALL AGES and ALL PARENTS
Resources for material: A+ student library card with Howard County Public Library and reading list. Make it fun: Play games Follow their lead: Let them pick the book Diversify the literature: Try joke, fact, magazines and poetry books. Finding time: In the car, before or after practices, during the morning, dinner making.

7 Primary Grades (K-2) Make up the story using blank picture books
Partner reading Find sight words in stories Think outside the box: reading happens everywhere!

8 Intermediate grades (3-5)
Get opinionated: Read articles to get their opinion on a topic. Follow the series: Finish a complete series Mix it up: Change the perspective of the book Read up: Try to read at a higher grade or level Join up: Participate or Create a book club
