A Follower of Christ Is a believer in his teachings. John 8.31-34
We must believe in Jesus by abiding in his teachings. We cannot be a follower of Christ and ignore his teachings.

A Follower of Christ Looks like his teacher. Luke 6.40, 46-49
Acts 11.26 “Christian” means we look like Christ. If we are fully trained, then we must be disciplined by the teachings of Jesus.

A Follower of Christ Is below his teacher. Matthew 10.24
We are not above Christ. If we refuse the teachings of Jesus, then we put ourselves above him. Sometimes it can cause division in our family.

A Follower of Christ Carries his cross. Luke 9.23-26 Luke 14.25-30
Nothing should be placed above our relationship with Jesus. We must take up his cross (symbol of death) and die to self.

A Follower of Christ Changes his perspective. Luke 14.31-35
Matthew 6.24 We cannot love God and serve the world. We must put God above self, family, and possessions. Christ is the center of our life, we must love him (John 14.15).

What does Jesus tell us? He who has ears, Luke 14.35
Believe that I am he, John 8.24 Repent or perish, Luke 13.3 Confess me, Matthew 10.32 Be born again, John 3.5 Follow me, Matthew 11.29
