3 Universal Precautions Meaning:
Established to prevent the spread of bodily fluids that may contain dangerous pathogens (disease causing bacteria & viruses- living organisms/agents of disease) Based on the idea that all bodily fluids you may come in contact with are potentially infected

6 Universal Precautions Goals:
Promotes hand washing and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of diseases Assumes that all bodily fluids (for example, semen (sperm), vaginal fluids, saliva, urine, feces, breast milk, or vomit are contaminated
