Riding in a bus
It seems that the trees and houses are moving.
Likewise, it is not the Sun that is moving, but the Earth that is moving around the Sun.

4. How day and night happens
Position yourself so that the light of the Sun shines on your face.
Turn to your left very slowly. Look to the Sun’s bright light. As you move to your left, the Sun moves to your right.
Step back and you will notice that the Sun “moved lower” on your right cheek.
Turn left and notice that the Sun “rises” over your left cheek. [It illustrates sunrise].
Turn around with your back facing the Sun. [It illustrates night].

Earth’s revolution
The Earth orbits the Sun at a speed of 108,000 km/h.
It revolves(rotates) on its axis once every 24 hours or once a day.
The Earth’s daily position is never the same.
It either moves further away from the Sun or closer to it.
The Earth’s rotation speed affects the Earth’s currents, climate, shape and ocean depth.
