4,500 students participated in a recent Pearson MyLab and Mastering survey. 88% say it helps them understand the subject matter and 84% say they feel they are more prepared for exams. 85% say they would recommend their instructor continue to use the program.
It is important to your educator that you have the practice and support needed to learn the material and pass this course and that’s what MasteringGeography is intended to do.

3. Get Started with MasteringGeography
You Need:
The you use for school.
Course ID: A Course ID looks something like MCprofessor Ask your instructor for your Course ID!
Access code or credit card: The required access code comes either with your book or by itself at your bookstore. Alternatively, you can buy instant access with a credit card or PayPal account during registration.

If you haven’t already purchased your course materials you will need to do so today. To get started with Pearson MasteringGeography you will need a valid address. It should be an you have easy access to as you may receive important communication from your course instructor at this address. You also need the Course ID for the MasteringGeography course your instructor has assigned for the semester and the Course ID you will use to get started is _______. Please make note of this Course ID. You also need to have purchased access to MasteringGeography and you do this by purchasing an Access Code or buying instance access – let me explain this options in more detail.

An Access Code is included in a package available for purchase at the bookstore. You will redeem the code during the registration process.

I mentioned that you need to purchase access to MasteringGeography to get started. You can visit the bookstore after class where your instructor has made a package available for purchase. Included in that package is an Access Code you can redeem during the registration process. OR you can skip the access code and go directly to and purchase instant access during the registration process with a credit card or PayPal account.

6. Step 1 Go to www.MasteringGeography.com
Under the large Register Now section on the right side of the page, click the Student
Getting Started is easy! We’ll walk you through the process right now so that you can follow along with us or learn the steps so you can be familiar with the process after class.
Step 1: Log onto MasteringGeography.com. Under the large Register Now section on the right side of the page, click the Student button.

7. Step 2
Read through the onscreen instructions and select your location.

8. Step 3
Check off whether or not you have a Course ID. If you have a Course ID provided by your instructor, type it in and press Go. If your course does not require an ID, click on the radio button below and click Next. Check with your professor to be sure!

9. Step 4
Check off whether or not you have an Access Code. If you don’t have one, you can purchase access online. You will need the correct textbook title, author, and edition. Check with your professor to get this information or your course syllabus.

10. Step 5
Before continuing, make sure you read & accept the License Agreement. After this, either Create a new Pearson username/password, or, if you’ve already registered for another Pearson product, enter that username/password. If you have an Access Code, enter it on the bottom of the page.

11. Step 6
Fill out the appropriate information fields, then click Next. If you entered an Access Code, you will be brought to a page from which you can access your product. If not, enter your payment information so that you can Purchase Access, after which you’ll be granted access.

You’re now registered! Click Log In Now. If prompted, enter your Student ID. That’s it!
