Narrator: Things were going along mighty fine until a serpent slithered down the tree one day and tempted Eve. Serpent: (Lisping and sticking tongue out) Did God really ssssay you would die? Naw, you won’t die! You will become like God, knowing good from evil! Go on. Take it. One little bite isssssn’t gonna kill ya…” Narrator: The fruit looked tasty so she took one little bite. (Off stage a piano plays the first four notes of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony) Girls: Then another. Narrator: Adam and Eve got what they wanted, and more. They now knew good from evil, and with that knowledge came sin and death. God sent them away from the garden, but never stopped loving them. They bore children… Girls: And it hurt something fierce! Narrator: And their children bore more children. Boys: And so on. Girls: And so on.
