the people of the plateau hunted buffalo, salmon, and other large game, like elk and deer, etc...
they also hunted plants and berries for food with wooden sticks
they used bows, harpoons, traps and spears

The people wore clothing that usually represented class or season.
Plant clothing in the summer and thick furs in the winter
women were very skilled weavers
used porcupine quills and seashells to decorate clothing

We traded with the people of the northwest coast.
-we traded furs for seashells which we used for decorating clothing.
We encountered the Blackfoot (people of the plains).
-buffalo hunting grounds lead to conflict and fighting.
