2 Timeline 2018 November: Release of guidance
Goal Process Certification sent to CEOs via survey instrument Aggregate Student Success Metrics data available on the Launchboard for reviewing baseline data for the specific indicators that will be used in the goal-setting process December: Online, fillable Local Goals Reporting Form available on Vision Resource Center December 15: Deadline for CEOs to submit Goal Process Certification to Chancellor’s Office 2019 February 15: The Launchboard will have the complete set of Student Success Metrics and all the drill-downs for equity purposes May 31: Deadline for colleges to submit the completed Local Goals Reporting Form to the Chancellor’s Office Summer: Chancellor’s Office releases streamlined reporting requirements

3 Vision 2020 Goals GOAL 1: Completion GOAL 2: Transfer
System wide, increase by at least 20 percent the number of CCC students annually who acquire associate degrees, credentials, certificates, or specific job skill sets that prepare them for in-demand jobs by GOAL 2: Transfer System wide, increase by 35 percent the number of CCC students transferring annually to a UC or CSU by GOAL 3: Unit Accumulation System wide, decrease the number of units accumulated by CCC students earning associate degrees, from an average of approximately 87 total units to an average of 79 total units by GOAL 4: Workforce System wide, increase the percent of exiting CTE students who report being employed in their field of study, from the most recent statewide average of 69% to 76% by GOAL 5: Equity System wide, reduce equity gaps across all of the above measures through faster improvements among traditionally underrepresented student groups, with the goal of cutting achievement gaps by 40 percent by and fully closing those achievement gaps for good by

8 Disaggregated Data Disaggregated information will be displayed for the following categories of students. Race/ethnicity Age group Gender Economically Disadvantaged Pell Grant Recipient College Promise Grant Recipient First generation Foster Youth Disabled Students Veterans Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender In addition, colleges will be able to see time trends and information at the college, district, microregion, macroregion, and statewide level

11 Learning Progress Applies to Adult Education/ESL & Undecided/Other
Percentage of students who demonstrated a skills gain: as measured by the CASAS test by advancing one or more CB21 levels Metric will be based on CASAS and MIS submissions.

12 Learning Progress Applies to Short-Term Career Education & Undecided/Other
Course success rate: Among enrollments Metric will be based on MIS submissions.

13 Learning Progress Applies to Degree/Transfer and Undecided/Other
Percentage of students who completed both transfer-level math and English in their first year Courses must have been taken in the same district Metric will be based on MIS submissions.

Percentage of students who completed one or more levels of adult education Transitioned from adult basic ed/ESL to adult secondary ed Metric will be based on MIS submissions.

Earned nine or more career education units in a single year Courses must be non-introductory Courses must have been taken in the same district Completed a noncredit workforce milestone Completed a noncredit workforce preparation course Completed a CTE course Had 48 or more contact hours in a career education course Metric will be based on MIS submissions.

Percentage of students who earned an award and/or transferred to credit coursework, with disaggregated results showing the number who: Earned a high school diploma/GED/high school equivalency Earned a noncredit CDCP certificate or Chancellor’s Office approved certificate Transitioned to any CTE course Transitioned from noncredit coursework to college credit coursework Metric will be based on MIS submissions and data match for high school equivalencies.

19 Success Applies to Short-Term Career Education
Percentage of students who earned certificate and/or journey status, with disaggregated results showing the number who: Earned a noncredit certificate Earned a Chancellor’s Office approved credit certificate Attained apprenticeship journey status Metric will be based on MIS submissions and a data match with the Department of Apprenticeship Standards.

23 Employment – Applies to Short-Term Career Education, Degree/Transfer, and Undecided/Other
Percentage of students who report they are working in a job very closely or closely related to their field of study Student had to respond to the CTE Outcomes Survey, which is only sent to students who earned a CTE award or took 9+ CTE units Metric will be based on the CTE Outcomes Survey.

Median annual earnings of students Median change in earnings Metric will be based the Unemployment Insurance wage data.

25 Earnings – Applies to Short-Term Career Education and Undecided/Other Students
Median annual earnings of students Median change in earnings Percentage of students whose annual earnings met the regional living wage threshold Metric will be based the Unemployment Insurance wage data . Living wage will be based on regional figures for a single adult from the Insight Center for Community Economic Development. Students who transferred to a four-year institution will be excluded.

Median annual earnings of students Percentage of students whose annual earnings met the regional living wage threshold Metric will be based the Unemployment Insurance wage data .
