Pleasure = a feeling of happy satisfaction and enjoyment Motivation = a reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way, desire or willingness to do something; enthusiasm What is the pleasure in working out? What is the motivation? What is the pleasure in cooking? What is the motivation? What is the pleasure in watching films? What is the motivation?

3 Uses & Gratifications Theory
“Uses and Gratifications” is a theory by Blumler and Katz, which states that audiences consume media products for 5 reasons: To escape from daily woes To be entertained To be informed/educated To socially interact with others To personally identify with characters/situations
