2 Soy and Wax Ink Graphic Communication National
In and environmentally friendly world we must look to all areas to reduce our carbon footprint. Printing is one of those areas that has a high footprint. Soy ink is a kind of ink made from soybeans. As opposed to traditional  ink, soy-based ink is more environmentally friendly, might provide more accurate colours, and makes it easier to recycle paper. It is, however slower to dry than many inks. Wax Ink or Solid Ink is another alternative. Less waste is created by wax ink and it also lasts longer than standard ink cartridges.

3 3D Printing Graphic Communication National
3D printing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. This process replicates traditional modelling and allows users to print a model they have digitally modelled to trial in real life. Have you ever broken something, only to find it’s no longer sold and you can’t replace it? 3D printing means you can simply print a new one.

4 Digital Advertising Graphic Communication National
Many adverts are displayed using digital formats. Bus stops, football stadiums or on you phone, tablet or other touchscreen devices. Advantages of digital advertising: Environmentally friendly Adverts can be changed regularly, cheaply and quickly Can use moving image to attract attention Displays can be ed to venues Can link directly to where you can buy the product

5 Paperless Office Graphic Communication National
Using only computers is a major benefit to the graphics industry and the environment. Software is loaded from a cloud and work is saved back there or onto hard disks. Very little is now produced by hand. Companies that can reduce the amount of paper used in day-to-day work will save money and increase product margins.

6 Remote Working Graphic Communication National
Design work can be shared immediately throughout the world through the use of . Employees can now work from home or separate offices on the same item of work. Storing data centrally on a single server allows anyone, anywhere to work on and update the same document. This increases production times and makes use of the skills of people globally.
