2 Ecology Definitions Write each term in the left column with the definition in the right column
Abiotic Factors: All non-living things Biotic Factors: All living things Population: All members of the same species in a given area Community: Multiple populations together

3 Ecosystem: All biotic and abiotic factors found within a particular area.
Ecology: The study of Ecosystems Biosphere: The area on Earth that all life occupies Habitat: Where an organism lives Niche: The role of an organism

5 Ecology Activity Complete on left page under graphic organizer
Think about how our biosphere is broken down; Individuals, Population, Community, Ecosystem, and Biosphere. For each part listed above, write down what goes into each one in this school starting with you as the individual.

6 Ecology Homework Due Thursday, May 7th
Look around your home/yard and list: 4 abiotic factors 4 biotic factors Explain how those 8 things affect you and your daily life.
