2 Week 43 12 Years to the Day

3 Mark 5:21-43 On His way… For 12 years she suffered!
When she heard about Jesus… Desperation breeds faith! Jesus’ three-part statement: “Your faith has healed you” “Go in peace” “Be freed from your suffering”

4 God’s Timing Mark 5:21-43 Two stories intersect on the same day
Both were 12 years in the making God’s Timing

5 Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

6 Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace… 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

7 John 9:1-7 1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him… 7 …So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. God knows, but man doesn’t – it’s bigger than just us

8 2 Corinthians 4:8-10, 16-18 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body...

9 2 Corinthians 4:8-10, 16-18 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

10 God’s Timing TRIALS are temporary THIS LIFE is temporary
OUR STUFF is temporary OUR FOCUS needs to be eternal!

11 God’s Timing “Stress makes you believe that everything has to happen right NOW. Faith assures you that everything will happen in God’s timing.” unknown

12 Mark 5:35-36 Why keep “bothering” Jesus?
Jesus says to ignore those thoughts Get rid of fear Believe! Trust! Have faith!
