Yearly countrywide statistics from the Swedish forests

2 Description of the statistics
The Swedish NFI is part of Official Statistics of Sweden. Definition: The Official Statistics Act states that official statistics are statistics for public information, planning and research purposes. Official statistics shall be objective and made available to the public. Further, they are to be produced and published in a manner that protects the privacy of individuals and companies. (Law 2001:99). Inventory basis (year 2003) sample plots of these are inventoried in the field calipered trees sample trees.
