When you are multiply exponents that have the same base you should add the exponents. Ex. x7∙x3= x ∙22= =32 When dividing exponential expressions with like bases you subtract the exponents. Exponent on the top of the fraction subtracted by the one on the bottom Ex. x7 x2 = x5
