A common B-cell/myeloid progenitor. One of two potential models of hematopoiesis presented by Hou and colleagues that is consistent with the data presented in their manuscript. Of specific note is the B-cell/myeloid progenitor (BMP) population with surface antigens CD34+ CD19+ CXCR4- defined by this work. Other cells shown include the primordial hematopoietic stem cell (HSC), the common myeloid progenitor (CMP), common lymphoid progenitor (CLP), and B and T cells.
