A Note From the Kindergarten Teachers
We are practicing Habit 8. Habit 8 is Find Your Voice. We are finding out what we are good at, what we love to do, what need we can serve and what dives our life purpose.
Please practice sight words and read with your child every day.
There will be no school for kindergarteners on Friday May 4th. We will be having screening for next year’s kindergarteners.
A Peek At What We Are Learning
Reading
We are reading fiction books and retelling the events in the stories. We are talking about what happens first, next, then, and last in the books.
Writing
We are writing simple sentences with our sight words.
Math
We are working on solving addition and subtraction equations and story problems.
Fundations
We are working on sounding (tapping) out words.
