2 Unit #5: Introduction to Trigonometry
Accel Precalc Unit #5: Introduction to Trigonometry Lesson #3: Linear and Angular Speed EQ: How do you calculate linear and angular speed?

3 Angular Speed --- angle covered for a given amount of time
Units Used to Describe Angular Speed: revolutions per minute rpm degrees per second deg/sec radians per hour rad/hr

4 Linear Speed --- distance travelled for a given amount of time
Units Used to Describe Linear Speed: meters per second m/sec miles per hour mph Relationships: 1 revolution = 1 rotation around circle

5 Angular Measurement: 1 revolution = 2π radians Linear Measurement:
Formulas: C = 2πr = πd
