14 Do Family Planning Users Have Informed Choices?
76% of modern contraceptive users were informed of side effects or problems of methods they used. 74% were informed about what to do if they experienced side effects. 72% were informed of other methods they could use.

18 Missed Opportunities Of the women who were not using family planning in the 12 months before the survey: 19% were visited by a fieldworker who discussed family planning. 12% visited a health facility and discussed family planning. 75% of women neither discussed family planning with a fieldworker nor with staff at a health facility. Many non-users are not being reached by health professionals about their family planning options.

19 Key Findings 100% of women know at least one contraceptive method.
The modern contraceptive prevalence rate among married women is 35%. Use of modern methods has risen from 27% in 2005. The daily pill and injectables are the most common types of modern methods; many women also use withdrawal. The public sector is the most commonly used source for most contraceptive methods.
