SEASONAL DISTRIBUTION PATTERNS OF DEER
2
WHY I CHOSE THIS Have always liked learning about deer patterns
Research might be able to tell if something is affecting the deer
3
Hypothesis Deer distribution and feeding patterns will change as a result of changing seasons.
4
METHODS Quadrat 1.) Field station was divided into 50 quadrat
2.) chose sites based of habitat 3.) walked in a straight line in quadrat 4.) recorded any deer sign 5.) after done w/ transect, paced off, walked next transect

Conclusion Insufficient data was collected to accept or reject the hypothesis. Anecdotal observations indicate deer are feeding more heavily in spring, particularly in the open field. Future research should focus on sampling more quadrats and collecting data prior to the deer hunt.
