Transformation – An operation that maps an original geometric figure onto a new figure
Image – The resulting figure after a transformation
Translation – When you SLIDE a figure from one position to another without turning it
Reflection – When you FLIP a figure over a line.
Line of Symmetry – The line you flip a figure over in a reflection
