2 Larger Educational Goal:
Intended use : Activity 1 : Picture Observation Activity 2 : Observation and Comparison The facilitator will use the first three slides with the pictures of hunter-gatherers as the activity leading to picture observation. Pictures of two different times will also be used in order to make a comparative study of the two times. Objective: The participants will be able to observe the pictures of the hunter-gatherers and make inferences about their lives, based on the observation. Compare the images of the hunter-gatherers and the settled farmers and make a comparative study of their lives. Larger Educational Goal: Picture study enables students to construct knowledge on the basis of observation. The comparative study of two different periods requires higher order thinking based on observation and analysis of facts. These are important skills that need to be developed in students of History.
