2. Intention Get standardized, readable names for modules
The structure in the namespace identifiers should be reflected in TTCN-3 module identifiers

3. History Originally no namespace mapping to module identifiers defined
Standardized ATSs need clear definition!
TT proposed adding standardized mapping rule
Name mapping rules for XML names were reused by reference for the namespace mapping
BUT: namespace can contain characters which are not allowed for XML names, e.g. „/“
Rule was not adapted
SO: Examples demonstrate the real intention
TT committed CR 5847 to correct this discrepancy

Discrepancy resulted in different interpretations of the standard in the tools
INT STFs use the intended mapping
3GPP STF160 starts usage of XML and needs clarification NOW
