5. Wear a laboratory apron to protect your clothing and wear safety goggles when handling chemicals or heating substances with the bunsen burner.

6. Tie back long hair and roll up long sleeves when working with flames or chemicals. ALWAYS wear Close-toed shoes!

7. Read all directions for your experiment and follow the directions exactly.

8. NEVER handle any equipment in the lab unless you have specific permission.

9. NEVER eat or drink in the lab unless you are specifically told to.

10. Tell your teacher immediately if any chemicals are spilled or if there are any accidents in the lab.

11. Always keep work areas clean.
