2 3.9 Programme change for WMOC
The World Masters Orienteering Championships is an annual event. The programme shall include a Middle/Long qualification race, final races for the Middle and Long distance competitions, and a qualification race and a final race for the Sprint competition. The schedule shall be: Day 1 Sprint qualification, Day 2 Sprint final, Day 3 rest day Day 4 Middle/Long qualification Day 5 Middle distance final Day 6 rest day Day 7 Long distance final. 3 12.23 Qualification for Sprint and Middle Finals
As for Sprint and Long previously but with Middle substituted for Long And “forest” qualifier substituted for the previous LQ1 and LQ2 races February 2018 HLES - Riga

4 12.24 Long Final Qualification
Totally new rule February 2018 HLES - Riga

5 12.25 Start intervals As before, except that Middle race is introduced
All start intervals are 1 minute except for LF (2 minutes) Reminder: For heats with few competitors, a longer start interval may be used provided that the overall start period of the heat is a maximum of 80 minutes February 2018 HLES - Riga

6 15.8 Map scales The map scale for Middle and Long distance races shall be 1:10000 or 1:7500 February 2018 HLES - Riga

7 16.11 courses New table giving winning times for “forest qualifier”
Middle Final MF WTs are mins for all except M/W35/40 who have mins February 2018 HLES - Riga

8 17.2 Out-of-bounds or dangerous areas, forbidden routes, line features that shall not be crossed, etc Detailed clarification of relevant symbols Ties in with ISOM 2017 February 2018 HLES - Riga

9 29.4 Jury A representative of the organiser may participate in jury meetings but may be asked to leave before the jury makes its decision. The representative of the organiser has no vote. February 2018 HLES - Riga

10 29.7 Jury If a jury member declares him- or herself prejudiced or if a jury member is unable to fulfil his or her task, the IOF Event Adviser shall nominate a substitute. The IOF Event Adviser shall make the final decision regarding any potential conflict-of-interest. February 2018 HLES - Riga

11 30.1 Appeals An appeal may be made against infringements of these rules if a jury is not yet set up, or if the event is over and the jury has dispersed. An appeal may only be made against a jury decision if there has been a serious procedural error in the operation of the jury. February 2018 HLES - Riga
