2. What is the Food Bank? The Food Bank movement started in 2004. It exists to give emergency food aid to disadvantaged/vulnerable people. In Gloucester, during 2012, we gave 20 tons of food, feeding over 3250 people, including 1,224 children. In May we gave 8 tons. Increasingly those over 65 are looking for support.

3. What drives us? From Matthew 25 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. NIV

4. What drives us? It has been said that Food Banks give more than food. They give dignity and self-worth. Not only to clients but to many volunteers, some of whom are ex-clients. Video

5. How can you help? We need larger premises. We need volunteers. We need funds. Can you pray that we get the support we need, but above all that one day we are not needed.
