FANNUC LR Mate 200iD/4S robot is generally composed of three parts: manipulator, R- 30iB Mate controller and iPendant. It is mainly composed of robotic arm, driving device, transmission device and internal sensors. For a six-axis robot, the robotic arm mainly includes a base, a waist, two arm (upper arm and forearm), and a wrist, as shown in Figure 7-9. It offers hardware and the latest advances in network communications, integrated iRVision, and motion control functions. The iPendant has a touch screen with 4D graphics that displays process information and the actual process path, allowing for a much easier set up. Additionally, FANUC has minimized the controller spacet, saving floor space for the manufacturer, or allowing the manufacturer to stack controllers for multi-robotic installations. The R-30iB Mate also has a cooling fan auto-stop that reduces power by switching off during breaks, a brake control function that reduces power through the automatic braking motor if the robot is idle for an elongated period of time, and a ROBOGUIDE power optimization function that minimizes power and optimizes energy savings for the consumer. While the controller increases energy savings, and, in turn, decreases energy costs, it also enhances the productivity of any company through an enhanced brake release, robot motion optimization and smart vibration control for the robot arm to reduce cycle times and produce smoother movement. The surface structure of the iPendant is shown in Figure 7-10. The iPendant has a touch screen with 4D graphics that displays process information and the actual process path, allowing for a much easier set up. If necessary, a touch panel interface can be added as an option and all the keys can be customized with the transparent key sheet.
