2 Key Stage 1 National Curriculum Assessments (SATs)
Year 2 and Year 6 children take SATs papers Year 2 SATs are less formal than Year 6 SATs, but still just as important In Year 2 we never use the word SATs, assessment or test in class.

3 Paper 1: Reading and Answer booklet
The texts will cover a range of poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Paper 1: Reading and Answer booklet 30 minutes Paper 2: Reading and Answer booklets separate 40 minutes Children must read and answer these completely independently.

Ensure your child has the best possible attendance at school. Talk to your child about what they have learnt at school e.g. How was your day today – scale of 1 to 5? Why?
