2. Adult Learner Scholarship
Up to 200 adults will be selected
Up to $5,000 per year paid directly to college, renewable for up to 5 total years
Adults with some college and no degree and starting in 2019 – adults who previously earned an associate degree and will use the scholarship to earn a bachelor’s degree
Adults can enroll in college full time or part time at a campus in the KCS Postsecondary Network in fall 2019

3. Who can apply for the Adult Learner Scholarship?
Be age 24 or older at the time of college enrollment (fall 2019)
Reside in one of the six eligible counties:
Kansas—Wyandotte and Johnson
Missouri—Cass, Clay, Jackson, and Platte
Lawfully present in the United States or DACA eligible and DACA applied/approved
Earned at least 12 college credits previously completed at an accredited, Title IV, postsecondary institution OR previously earned an associate’s degree and will use the scholarship to earn a bachelor’s degree
Not been enrolled in a college/university during the past academic year (fall 2018-spring 2019)
Low- and modest-income—expected family contribution of ≤ 12,000

5. Advising Support – Adult Learners
Full-time college success navigators:
Advise adult learners virtually and in-person (offices located in the community)
Assist adult learners:
Navigate the process of applying for admission and financial aid
Work with adult learners to find their best-fit college/university
Work with adult learners through college completion
