Hematoxylin-eosin stain (bottom) showing acute interstitial nephritis and focal tubulitis with hemorrhage resulting in severe injury and necrosis. These findings are consistent with a vasculitis process, which in the presence of cytoplasmic antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies is suggestive of Wegener's granulomatosis.
