Initial supervisory session: Assigned Graduate Tutor / supervisor – explain Appraisal & monitoring process
Reviews: 3, 6 & 12 months – Upgrade
Supervisor is responsible – YOU need to be aware
Online Research Log – mandatory component. Student and supervisors complete the log

8. MD (Res): No upgrade – Process of reviews
Initial supervisory session: 3mth period identified for thesis writing
6 mth assessment: Formal discussion & supervisory report
12 mth assessment: Written report, Formal Assessment interview & meeting with Graduate Tutor
18 mth assessment: Appraisal / supervisors & Graduate Tutors

9. Final Year / Submission: MPhil / PhD
Completion Timetable:
3 years F/T - 5 years P/T - from date of registration
Experimental work must be completed
Thesis must be submitted at end of CRS period: exam entry 4mths before submission
CRS Time table: 1 year F/T – 2 years P/T
Post CRS implications: Fees on sliding scale
