2 Brief background Coliseum was built back in 1958
Roof consists of a several layers of sprayed polyurethane foam In 2001, the roof was recoated however, only 5% of the foam coating was replaced. In April of 2013, coliseum roof sustained wind damage and was patched in May 2013.

3 Council Directive Coliseum roof replacement was identified as a priority among several Council members. Civic Events board members have also identified the roof replacement as a priority.

9 Coliseum roof proposal
Using the TIPS/TAPS system, Duro-Last submitted a proposal to re-roof the Coliseum 15 year warranty, turn key $542,529.36 20 year warranty, turn key $582,533.50 We would add a 25% contingency $135,471 (cover deck replacement, etc.) Total Project $678,000.00

10 Scope of work Partner with local contractor, Harrison roofing, to complete the work. Tear off and dispose of current roofing material. Install custom prefabricated, reinforced 40+-mil white membrane Duro-Last roofing system. Install Duro-Last prefabricated metal flashings. Install 2 way breather vents every 1,000 sq. ft. One year performance and payment bond. 15 year labor and material warranty.

Will not have to shut down the facility while the work is being performed.

13 Moving Forward Staff is seeking approval from City Council to accept Duro-Last proposal and authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement. If approved , staff will bring budget amendment for approval at the next meeting.
